VRA Workers To Demonstrate Against Tarzan’s Return

Workers of the crisis- stricken Volta River Authority will this afternoon embark on a peaceful demonstration against Dr. Charles Wereko Brobbey’s return to work.

The leadership of the workers told JoyNEWS that the demonstration is scheduled to take place during the lunch break and is meant to remind government of its failure to resolve key issues raised about the chief executive’s stewardship.

Accra is however being left out of the planned demonstration because the company’s board of directors has scheduled a meeting at the headquarters.

The workers say government must stop the payment of rental charges on the Strategic Reserve Plant, until government takes a final decision on the status of the project.
