VRA to experience three-day power supply shortfall

The Volta River Authority (VRA) announced on Friday that there would be a shortfall of power supply for three days with effect from Saturday evening.

It said as a result of a planned shutdown of Akosombo Unit No. 4 (1G4) for Splitter Vane Inspection works, there would be a shortfall in power supply of up to 115MW on those days.

A statement issued by VRA, copied to GNA in Accra, said the shortfall would be between 1800 hours and 2300 hours on Saturday and Sunday while the period would be between 0600 and 1600 hours on Monday.

“Consumers are therefore to take note and bear with us in case they experience some power outages during this period,” it said.**
