Maverick politician, Chuck Kofi Wayo, has lumped executives of the Volta River Authority and the Electricity Company of Ghana as “useless” people trained to lie to every government.
According to Mr. Wayo, the nation would only enjoy efficient power supply if President Mahama mans up and “sack” all the executives occupying various positions at VRA and ECG.
In plain words, he described executives occupying positions at the respective outfits as “useless” and called on President Mahama to “fire all of them. I am prepared to challenge and show them they really don’t know what they have been doing. I know better than them. I know energy practically; I have been in it for 35years”.
Mr. Wayo added that the same crop of executives had lied to former President Rawlings when he was in power and did same to ex-president Kufour when he also assumed office after his predecessor.
“They lied to Rawlings, and he only realized they were lying to him after he had exited office. They did same to Kufour…For forty years, we claim we have energy experts, but we keep on experiencing power fluctuations every now and then”, he sadly said.
