The Volta Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a tribute, has described the late Paul Victor Obeng, Senior Presidential Advisor and Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission, as affable with a “whimsical sense of humour”.
A press release signed by Mr. Simon Amegashie-Viglo, Regional Secretary and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said the Party “can recall vividly, Mr. Obeng’s last visit to Ho, when he chaired the national workshop on the challenges facing the implementation of the Single Spine Salary Structure.”
“We express our condolences to his wife, children and family,” it stated.
The release said Ghana would miss Mr. Obeng as a “pragmatic patriot” and a “veritable institutional memory on governance in Ghana”.
