Voting starts peacefully and orderly in Winneba

Voting started peacefully and orderly at 10 polling stations in Winneba in the Effutu constituency.

At the Domiabra Mr Richard Koomson, Presiding Officer, said the 70 out of the 723 registered voters have cast their votes as at about 0840 hours.

The Presiding Officer at the Wesley Hall A, Mr Christopher Xenya told the GNA that 54 of the 623 voters had cast their vote as at 0850 hours while according to Mr Francis Ghartey Presiding Officer of Wesley B centre said 40 out the 628 voters have cast their votes as at 0854 hour.

Mr Eric Turkson, Presiding Officer of the Highways Polling Station said 240 out of the 816 voters have cast their votes as at 0954 hours.

All the Presiding Officers told the GNA that the National Democratic Party, (NDC) New Patriotic Party (NPP) Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) National Democratic Party (NDP) and Convention Peoples Party (CPP) contesting both the Presidential and Parliamentary elections have their representatives at the polling stations.
