Volta Region to make Regional best teacher award a regular feature

Ho, March 1, GNA – The Volta Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) is to make its Regional Best Teacher Award a regular feature.

“This is expected to send out a strong signal to the entire staff of GES in the region that we are determined to reward and motivate all those who would show commitment towards the development of education in the Region,” Mr Gabriel S. Kploanyi, Volta Regional Director of GES. He said this at a send-off party in honour of Mrs Olivia Sosu and Reverend Samuel Amankwa who were his predecessors in Ho.

Dr Kploanyi was optimistic that the award scheme if run regularly would help keep teachers in the Region because people become more effective, efficient and committed to their jobs when motivated on a regular basis. Mr Kploanyi called for support from all stakeholders to make the award a success. 1 March 10
