Volta Region CPP opens nominations for regional congress

Ho, Nov. 12, GNA- The Volta Regional branch of the Convention Peoples’ Party (CPP), has opened nominations for regional executive election.

Positions to be contested for included, regional chairman, vice regional chairman, secretary, organizer, treasurer, women organizer, youth organizer and education secretary. Mr. Vincent Norgbedzi, Volta Regional Organizer of the party, told the congress scheduled for November 17, this year. He said the outcome of the event would determine the future of the CPP in the region and appealed to interested members to attach all seriousness to the congress. In a related development, the Buem and Akan constituencies of the party had conducted their constituency conferences and elected their executives to steer the affairs of the party for a four-year term. The newly elected executives for Buem include Mr Yerenchi Francis, Chairman, Mr Donald Senyo, Secretary and Mr Ireneous Kwame Odzangba, Organizer.

Those elected for Akan included Mr Bassah Samuel, Chairman, Mr Attara George, Secretary and Mr Isaac Aslavon, Organizer. 12 Nov. 07
