Volta is the cleanest Region in Ghana – Greenstreet declares

The presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, believes that the Volta region is the cleanest region in Ghana. He made this observation when he took his Apam Fofor? (New Covenant) National Campaign Tour to the Volta Region.

The tour started from Abor, Keta, Anloga to Aflao where the CPP parliamentary candidates for those areas were introduced. The tour is expected to continue to Battor, Mepe, Adidome and Sogakope.

The nine-day tour will take the presidential candidate and his team to every single district and constituency in the Volta Region.

So far the party’s campaign has completed preliminary tours of Upper East, Upper West, Northern, Brong Ahafo, Ashanti, and parts of Eastern, Western, Central and Greater Accra Regions.

Ivor Kobina Greenstreet lauded the people of the Volta Region for their attempts to deal with the nationwide waste collection crisis.

He recalled visiting the Region on numerous occasions as General Secretary, and saw very little rubbish by the road side, noting that this positive trait must be investigated and emulated.

Communities must take control of their own environment because in governance, responsibilities come with duties on all sides, he stated. He pointed out that Ghana is a wealthy nation with oil, gold, gas, timber, cocoa, bauxite, diamonds, fertile lands, access to water resources, strong and intelligent human resources.

The CPP, he said, “recognising the time honoured approach will focus on the use of cooperatives to maximise revenue for ordinary individuals, families and communities.
