Volta Heroes Foundation to award five persons

Volta Heroes Foundation, a development oriented Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) will on Saturday honour five persons in Ho for their meritorious services to the Volta Region.

The awardees are Mr Walter Blege, Mrs Victoria Norgbey, Mrs Dora Aku-Sika Tete-Dzobo, Monsignor Joachim Boumas Eleeza and the Late Dr. (Mrs) Esther Afua Ocloo.

The ceremony scheduled for November 15, is the second edition of Volta Heroes Award, aimed at celebrating outstanding performance of individuals in the public and private sectors.

A release, copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) described the awardees as individuals whose contributions have immensely impacted the socio-economic development of the Volta Region and beyond.

The event is on the theme, “Celebrating Our Heroes: A Key To Accelerated National Development.”

The annual awards ceremony is to inspire young people in the Region to give off their best and attract high rated professionals to the Region.

The maiden event, which was held in December, last year also had a business and investment discussion session.

The event is mainly to open up business and investment opportunities in the Region to local and foreign investors.
