Victory in the elections is for all – Regent of Dagbon

Kapankuya Na Yakubu Abdulai Andani, Regent of Dagbon, has congratulated John Dramani Mahama for his victory in the December 2012 presidential elections.

He also congratulated all the contestants in both the presidential and parliamentary race and appealed to them to ensure that Ghana continues to enjoy its treasured peace.

Kapakuya Na Abdulai Andani said this when some chiefs from Western Dagbon led by the Savelugu Na Abukari Mahama paid a courtesy call on him at his palace in Yendi to discuss the prevailing peace in Western Dagbon after the elections.

He appealed to any political party which is not satisfy with the elections to pass through the right channel for its problem to be addressed and not to take the law into its own hands to plunge the country into war.

He said the victory of the December 2012 elections is for the entire nation and not for a particular political party.

He commended the people of Dagbon, the security agents, the media and every stakeholder for the role they played in ensuring a peaceful election.
