Victory education complex scores 100 per cent in BECE

Kumasi, Sept 26, GNA – All the 37 candidates presented this year by the Victory Education Complex at Ahwiaa in the Kwabre district passed in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) scoring 100 per cent.

Rev Dr Kwadwo Darko-Boateng, Headmaster of the school, said this at a thanksgiving service organized by the school for the junior secondary school leavers on Sunday.

He said children are the future leaders of the country and appealed to parents and guardians to invest in their education. Rev Darko-Boateng, who is also in-charge of the Ezra Baptist Temple in Kumasi, said the welfare of children should not be politicised and that the focus should be on their well being. He said private schools render invaluable services to the country and appealed to the government to reduce their taxes to enable them charge reasonable and affordable fees.

Rev M.P. Appiah of the Christ Apostolic Church International at Old Tafo, the proprietor of the school, said the school established 11 years ago, had chalked a lot of successes. He attributed the good performance of the school to the hard work of the teachers and asked them to continue with the same zeal to project the image of the school.
