Vice President returns from South Africa

Accra, May 21, GNA – Vice President John Dramani Mahama returned home Wednesday evening from Johannesburg, South Africa where he attended the opening of the 11th ordinary session of the Pan-African parliament. Speaking to journalists on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport, Vice President Mahama said he gave a speech at the session and also met with his South African counterpart with whom he held bilateral discussions.

He said he discussed economic cooperation between South Africa and Ghana as well as the 2010 World Cup.

Vice President Mahama said he met with the Ghanaian community in South Africa as well as a South African Aviation company which expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities in Ghana.
