Vice President leaves to attend UN General Assembly

Accra, Sept 19, GNA – The Vice President Aliu Mahama, left Accra last night for the USA to attend the 59th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

He was accompanied by Dr Kwame Adusie, Ghana’s Ambassador to Switzerland and Mr. Kobina Anan, Ghana’s Ambassador to Morroco, Mr. Simon Puli, Chief Director Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr Kwesi Abeasi, Chief executive of the Investment Promotion Council.

The Vice President, who is scheduled to address the Assembly would also attend the opening session of the Ghana Expo-2004 in Atlanta.

The exhibition is expected to showcase Ghanaian services and products in the USA with the view to attract investors and business partners.

The Vice President is expected to be away for two weeks.
