Vice President arrives in Cairo

The Vice President, Mr K. B. Amissah Arthur, on Wednesday arrived in Cairo, Egypt to Participate in the inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal.

The canal is an important maritime route and the new one is expected to significantly cut the Travel time of vessels. Various dignitaries from around theworldare attending Thursday’s ceremony.

On arrival in Cairo, Mr Amissah Arthur met with the President and Chairman of the African Export–Import Bank, Mr Jean-­?Louis Ekra.

The two discussed issues bothering on the economy as well as areas of support and further cooperation
