The rally was held at London Bridge Vicinity in Cape Coast where teeming supporters of the NDC clad in party colours, red, green, white and black thronged.

Accompanied by his wife Matilda, Vice President had earlier on called on the Oguamanhen, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, who gave his blessing and that of his elders to the Veep.

At sixty one, an economist and the immediate past Governor of the Bank of Ghana, he is partnering President Mahama to claim victory and retain the NDC in power for a second term.

He asked the supporters who had wanted to go independent after the primaries to remain within the party to ensure victory.

Vice President said all differences must be put aside and unity forged so that the party wins the election, assuring the electorate that their grievances would be addressed.

Mr Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, a Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development and Coordinator of John Mahama Campaign, asked NDC supporters to get involved in the campaign no matter where they were, adding “anybody is a campaign manager”
