Vetting Highlights: John Peter Amewu appears before Appointments Committee

Minister-designate for Lands and Natural Resources John Peter Amewu today took his turn before Parliament’s Appointments Committee for vetting.

Tackling issues regarding illegal mining, Mr. Amewu indicated the need for full enforcement of laws against persons found culpable of flouting the law.
He also highlighted plans towards addressing land conflicts in parts of the country among other issues regarding his portfolio.

When questioned by some Minority members over his ‘false claims’ about the NDC founder Jerry John Rawlings, Peter Amewu rendered an unqualified apology adding that processes are on course to that effect.
