Takoradi, Aug. 12, GNA – The death is reported in Accra of Mr George Marshall Naykene, a veteran journalist. He died in the early hours of Thursday, August 12, after a short illness, family sources said.
The late Mr Naykene worked with the then Graphic Corporation, was the founding Editor of the Christian Chronicle newspaper and once served as the welfare officer of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA). Mr Naykene is survived by five children including, Mr George Amihere Naykene, a senior reporter of the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Takoradi. Burial arrangements would be announced later.
