Nkawie (Ash), May 18, GNA- Group Constable Carroll Dakurugu, stationed at the Nkawie Police Station, in the Ashanti Region, was instantly killed when he was knocked down by a car, while on duty at the Toase barrier on the Nkawie-Bibiani road.
A police source told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that, Constable Dakurugu, who was on duty, was opening the closed barrier when he was knocked down by an on-coming Saloon car heading towards Bibiani.
The driver of the Saloon car has since been placed into police custody at Nkawie while the body of the deceased had also been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for autopsy.
