Veep leaves for Bamako

The Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur on Tuesday left Accra for Bamako, Mali.

Mr Amissah-Arthur is visiting Mali to express his condolences following the Radisson Blu Hotel attack in Bamako last week.

A statement signed by Mr James Agyenim-Boateng, a Presidential Staffer, said twenty-two people died when Malian Special Forces and international partners freed 170 guests who had been held hostage by the gunmen.

On Monday, Benin’s President Thomas Boni Yayi and Burkina Faso’s Prime

Minister Yacouba Isaac Zida paid a similar visit to Bamako to express their condolences.
