Veep inspects Kasoa, Kokrobite by-pass

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has inspected works on the 24 kilometer Kasoa, Tuba, Kokrobite and Old Barrier by-pass.

The GH¢30 million road project, which started in June this year, is being undertaken by Joshhob Construction Limited.

It is expected that after its completion, the by-pass would ease traffic on the main Kasoa – Cape Coast road.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur inspected the project after attending the Golden Jubilee and Speech and Prize Giving Day of the Breman Asikuma Senior High School at Breman Asikuma in the Central Region.

Mr Josiah Acheampong, Project Manager, explained that the work was about 40 per cent complete.

He said currently they were working on the U-drain and, so far, they had constructed 17,000 metres of U-drains out of the 38,000.

Mr Acheampong said the company had started works on a bridge which would link Kosoa to Kokrobite and was constructing the first phase of its apartment.

He said they had also done eight kilometers of formation and were ready to do the sub-base and base.
