Veep begins a tour of the Volta Region

Jasikan, March 09, GNA – Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama on Thursday arrived at Jasikan to begin a five-day official visit to the Volta Region.

He would inspect development projects in seven out of the 16 Municipal and districts in the region. They are Ho Municipality, Jasikan, Kadjebi, Nkwanta, Hohoe, Akatsi and Sogakope districts.

The Vice-President would interact with chiefs in the region including a meeting with Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli and the Wheta Traditional Council. Vice-President Mahama would also observe the Atsitoeza (festival) of the chiefs and people of Akatsi and end the visit with a courtesy call on Togbe Avudzega Sogah II, Paramount Chief of Sogakope.
