VARSITY LECTURER BEMOANS NPP UNPREPAREDNESS TO CLAIM POWER IN 2028

A lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and erstwhile Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai municipal assembly presiding member, Hon. Robert Aidoo has bemoaned the opposition New Patriotic Party’s unpreparedness and unwillingness to claim power from their prime political rival, NDC in 2028.

Prof. Aidoo made this revelation in an interview on Okyeame Radio Adekyee mu Nsem show chaired by Kaakyire where he stated that, it is sad it appeared the NPP is not fully prepared for victory in 2028. He added that, from the look of things, the party has refused to settle their internal conflicts which will cause them another defeat in the next four years. He advised the party’s high hierarchy to work towards putting an end to the apathy. He also suggested that elders in the party should intervene and speak to their members in order to seize power the next election.

However, his concerned about Prof Mike Oquaye’s committee report which content is known by some few people which according to him is dangerous since their motive for concealing the content of the report may backfire if they are not cautious.

Furthermore, apart from economic hardship, factors that resulted to NPP’s opposition was apathy and disunity which was overlook without a longstanding solution by the party’s council of elders to resolve them. He cautioned that if they continue to neglect, their hard work will be in vain.

In addition, Mr. Aidoo said he was expecting NPP to utilize this year for reconciliation before any internal elections take place since a house divided against itself cannot stand and cannot achieve anything. He beseeched party’s leadership to prioritize reconciliation and unity because there is no way the party can climb to victory in 2028 if differences are not resolved.
