Vandals mourn Baah-Wiredu

Accra, Oct 3, GNA – The Old Vandals Association of the Commonwealth Hall of University of Ghana on Friday expressed shock and deep sorrow over the death of Mr Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning.

In a communiqu=E9 issued in Koforidua at the end of a special meeting of the Old Vandals Association said: “The old vandals expressed heart-felt sympathies to the government which he served loyally, the NPP on whose ticket he had represented the people of Agogo and his family for the great loss of a worthy son, father and uncle”. The communiqu=E9 noted that the old Vandals took consolation in the fact that he died in the course of national duty and would be remembered for his hard work, affability, impartiality and patriotic zeal which made him the greatest public servants the nation had produced. “The Vandals recalled with pride the commitment of the late Finance Minister to the cause of Commonwealth Hall during his student days at the University and his participation in the activities of old Vandals”, the communiqu=E9 said.
