Vanco’s International Team Grows

HOUSTON – Vanco Energy Company is pleased to announce the addition of staff:

Steve Thornton joins Vanco Energy Company as Manager – Affiliates. Mr. Thornton will manage Vanco’s international affiliates, and serve as Asset Manager – Vanco C?te d’Ivoire Ltd. In this capacity, he will direct the planning and execution of the upcoming exploration well program on Vanco’s CI-112 offshore C?te d’Ivoire.

Mr. Thornton has nearly 30 years’ experience in oil and gas exploration, development and production operations with UMIC, Ashland, Williams Brothers, and Heston Oil. In his six years with UMIC, Mr. Thornton served as Vice President and General Manager of UMIC C?te d’Ivoire Corporation. Most recently he served as Project Manager for Schlumberger in Algeria.

Mr. Thornton holds a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and is a Registered Professional Engineer.
