Valley View University presents library books to schools

Accra, May 11, GNA – The Valley View University, near Accra, on Wednesday presented a large quantity of assorted books and four computers to three second-cycle schools in the Fanteakwa district. The beneficiary schools are Begoro Presbyterian Secondary School, Osino Secondary School and New Nsutam Secondary/Technical School. Presenting the items on Tuesday, the Vice-President of the University, Dr Dziedzorm Asafo, explained that the gesture was part of the distance education component of the University to assist second-cycle schools improve on their academic standards.

He hoped the students would take advantage of the gesture to develop more interest in reading and become computer literate. Receiving the donation on behalf of the schools, the Fanteakwa District Director of Education, Miss Mary Animwah, thanked the University for the donation and asked the beneficiary schools to make good use of the books.
