Used clothes and shoe dealers to be re-settled

Sekondi, Feb. 17, GNA – The Shama-Ahanta East Metropolitan Assembly (SAEMA) is to re-settle used clothes and shoe dealers from the Takoradi market circle at the Apremdo Market.

Mr Philip Kwesi Nkrumah, the Metropolitan Chief Executive, announced this at a meeting with used clothes dealers at Sekondi on Wednesday.

He said the re-settlement of the dealers was to pave the way for the construction of a multi purpose car park in the area. Mr Nkrumah said a drainage project, which would be funded by the World Bank, has to begin by March 15.

He, therefore, asked the clothes dealers behind to move to the Apremdo Market before that time for excavation work to begin.
