US Gov’t Observes Ramadan With Ghanaian Muslims

THE US Government will make a donation of food in connection with the annual fast of Ramadan (SAUM) known as Sadaqat-il-Fuqara, at the Nima Police Station Park this Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 4.00pm.

According to a release issued by the Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy in Accra, the Charge d’Affairs, Gary Pergl, and the National Chief Imam, Shiekh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, will make remarks during the event.

The programme is being co-sponsored by Friends Against Global Terrorism (FAGLAT), Muslim Family Counselling Services (MFCS) and Center for Islamic Youth Serivces and Development (CYOSDEV), all NGOs based in accra, the release stated.
