US embassy presents medical equipment to health centre

Ekumfi Ekrofo (C/R), June 25, GNA – The US Embassy has presented medical equipment valued at 9,000 dollars towards the opening of communit y reproductive health centre at Ekumfi Ekrofo.

Ms Kathy Atkinson, a representative of the embassy, said the donation

was at the request of Hope for Future Generation, a non-governmental organisation in Ghana that helped the community to build the facility. She said provision of the equipment formed part of the social responsibility of the embassy.

The items include examination couch, delivery set, delivery trolley,

cheatla forceps, weighing scales, thermometer clinical, BP equipment, foe tal stethoscope, drip stands, microscope and malarial test strips. Mr Eric Senya Pongo, the Director of the NGO, and Nana Seyiwa II, Queenmother of the town, received the items and expressed their appreciat ion to the donors.
