US-based citizen donates to Kuren Methodist Church

Kuren (B/A), Feb. 16, GNA – Mr. Samuel Owusu, a United States-based citizen of Kuren, near Dormaa Ahenkro in Brong Ahafo, has donated a Nissan Urvan bus and musical instruments worth 240 million cedis to the local Methodist Church.

The instruments include microphones, loud speakers, a set of drums, organs, microphone stand and guitars.

Mr. O.A. Kumi, a member of the church who presented the items on behalf of the donor said in 1990 the Church sponsored Mr. Owusu to travel to the USA.

He said the donation was in appreciation of the gesture and appealed to the Church to use the items judiciously. Receiving the items, Mr. Joseph Addai, thanked the donor for the gesture and appealed to other citizens to emulate Mr Owusu.
