Uproar In Police Service Over Transfers

Reliable information reaching GO indicate that Inspector Edward Odame of the Greater Accra regional police command has refused to be transferred to Wa in the Upper East Region despite interventions from other high ranking officers at the Police Headquarters in Accra.

Inspector Odame, who is seen in the police circles as one of the loyal officers to the Director of Administration of the Ghana Police Service, COP Rose Bio-Atinga, has said time and again that so long as COP Rose Bio-Atinga remains the Director of Administration of the Ghana Police Service he would not move an inch to the Upper East and not even the Inspector General of Police can force him to move.

Our information is that the refusal of Inspector Odame to the Upper East is causing some friction at the regional police command and some officers who are due to go on transfer are taking advantage of that to delay their transfers. Stay tuned!
