Upper West June Four Movement wades into NDC logo argument

The Upper West Regional Branch of the June Four Movement has waded into the argument over who owns the NDC logo.

The Regional Secretary of the Movement Geoffrey Tuu in a statement issued at Wa said members of the Movement read with dismay the claim by the former first Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings that the NDC logo is her intellectual property.

The statement said what is not clear in the claim of ownership of the logo by Mrs Rawlings is whether she has a problem with the NDC using that logo.

The Regional Secretary of the June Four Movement said what Mrs Rawlings should know is that it is not only the logo that has brought the NDC party into being of which she is an ultimate beneficiary.

Mr Tuu intimated that, assuming the NDC logo is the intellectual property of the former first lady she should see the use of the logo as her contribution towards the party through which she has benefited and is still possibly benefiting.

Mr Tuu said the NDC will win the December General Elections to enable the Rawlings’ to continue to enjoy the protection they are given under the current government. **
