Wa, Dec. 14, GNA – Chiefs in the Upper West Region on Tuesday congratulated President J.A. Kufuor and the entire New Patriots Party for winning the just ended general elections.
“We the chiefs and people of this region sincerely wish you a peaceful and prosperous reign in office so as to bring success with peace, progress and prosperity to al Ghanaians in this second phase of your administration”.
These were contained in a release signed by Kuuro Kuri-Kuktie Liman IV, President of the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs and distributed to all media houses on Tuesday.
The release hoped that the victory would spur the government on to complete all development projects they had embarked on over their four years reign.
Kuuro Liman further appealed to the President to consider completing the Bole-Bamboi road it had vigorously embarked on and to provide irrigation dams to encourage maximum agricultural activities in the Upper West Region.
The chiefs also commended the Electoral Commission, political parties, media and all stakeholders for collaborating to conduct a free, fair and peaceful elections.
