His enstoolment followed the death of Nana Hemaa Denkyi, a great woman, who brought a lot of development projects to the area some 12 years ago.

The colourful ceremony was preceded by a procession through the principal streets of the town, before they people converged at the Methodist School park for the Thanks-giving Service, which was attended by the Deputy Western Regional Minister, Alfred Gyan and Captain (rtd) Anthony Cudjoe, MCE of Sekondi Takoradi.

Mr. Gyan commented on the chief’s leadership skills, and entreated the people to co-operate with him in advancing the development of the area, adding, “Team work is the key to sustainable development”.

Nana Esia expressed gratitude to his people, and recounted how the leadership of his family and some opinion leaders called on him four years ago to lead the people of the town.
