University of Ghana to introduce new accommodation policy

Accra May 7, GNA – The University of Ghana, Legon would from 2004-2005 academic year, commence its “in-out-out-in” accommodation policy. The “in-out-out-in” policy requires that available beds would be allocated to only first and final year students, a statement issued by the University’s Public Affairs Directorate said on Friday.

The statement said “the University intends to adopt a gradualist approach where Level 100, 200 and 300 students currently accommodated would be phased out over a 2-3 year period.”

It said current students without accommodation would be accommodated in their final year.

The statement therefore, entreated students, parents, guardians and the public to refrain from approaching University Officials with requests for consideration for accommodation when the policy takes effect.
