University calls for GETFund bailout for private universities

Ho, May 9, GNA – The Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC) Ho took delivery of a bus from the government on Saturday. Mr Walter Blege, the President of the University, said “Like the public ones, private universities are also in the business of human resource development for the nation”, Mr Blege said. He said he was optimistic that with Vice President John Dramani Mahama calling 93for an amendment of the GETFund law to give legal backing to this laudable idea”, private universities should be hopeful.

The occasion was the graduation of the first batch of 20 students from the University. The University, affiliated to the University of Cape Coast (UCC), turned out four fist class graduates in Bachelor of Science, Business Administration (Accounting and Finance), and three First Class holders in B.SC (HONS) Business Administration (Marketing). 09 May 2011.
