Unidentified man found dead on farm

Axim (W/R), Feb. 13, GNA – An unidentified young man, believed to be in his late 20s, has been found dead on a farm at Ahenlizo, near Axim, in the Western Region. The Nzema-East Municipal Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Daniel Ohene-Djan, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Axim on Tuesday. He said the body measuring about 5.8 feet tall, dark in complexion, was discovered by the owner of the farm, Madam Paulina Cudjoe, when she visited her farm on February 1, this year at 0920 hours.

ASP Ohene-Djan said the woman reported the matter to the Police and the body was removed from the farm. The Police Commander said when the police went to the bush, they saw that the body was lying naked with a jeans trousers and green singlet suspected to be his behind him, but no incisions and cuts were found on it.

According to the Police Commander, the young man was not known in Axim and its surrounding villages and therefore has not been identified. ASP Ohene-Djan said the body had since been deposited at the Axim Government Hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination, while police continued their investigations.
