UNICOF apologises to Mahama and GCB board

The Union of Industry, Commerce and Finance Workers Union has apologized to President Mahama, the management and the board of Ghana Commercial Bank for the inconveniences caused them by a publication.

The document which was being subjected to discussions and authentication internally by UNICOF was published by some media houses though it was not meant for the public.

In a statement, UNICOF also apologized to persons who may have been directly or indirectly affected by the inability for it to enforce the internal safeguards and controls.

It however expressed appreciation to the parties involved for understanding in this regard.

It will be recalled that workers of Ghana’s second biggest bank recently staged a protest against the management over poor conditions of service.
