Accra May12, GNA – A Circuit Court in Accra on Thursday remanded into prison custody an 18-year- old unemployed for having sex with his senior sister.
Roland Darke, charged with incest and threat of death, pleaded not guilty and would reappear on May 19.
The case of Prosecuting Police Chief Inspector Helena Sarpong was that Darke and his senior sister stayed in the same house in Accra with their grandmother.
On April 3, this year at about 1130 hours Darke jumped on his sleeping sister in her bedroom to have sex with her. A struggle ensued between them but Darke overpowered his sister and sexually assaulted her.
Prosecution said the following day the sister reported the conduct of Darke to one of their uncles. At about 1430 hours on the same day, the accused heckled the sister and threatened to kill because he sensed that she had reported him. The Prosecution said the sister raised the alarm and he was arrested.
