Unemployed man bonded 10 years for stealing

Cape Coast, Aug. 24, GNA – A circuit court in Cape Coast on Tuesday bonded a 28-year-old unemployed man for 10 years to be of good behaviour or in default four years imprisonment for stealing.

Joshua Duho, who pleaded guilty to unlawful entry and stealing two mobile phones, was convicted on his own plea.

Inspector Christiana Sampong told the court that Duho, who lives lives in Accra, travelled to Cape Coast on November 4, 2010 and went to the Valco Hall at the University of Cape Coast and removed the keys from rooms E29 and E31, making it difficult for the occupants to lock the doors at night.

Inspector Sampong said he sneaked into the two rooms and stole a Samsung mobile phone one Grace Obeng Afrah and an rlg mobile phone belonging to Azigwe Fidelia Awewora.

She said Duho was spotted by the occupants in one of the rooms and he was arrested and handed over to the police.
