Unemployed arrested for attempting to steal iron rods

Madina (GAR), Aug 15, GNA – A 28-year old unemployed, Sabani Sadiku, has been arrested by the Madina Police for attempting to steal 58 pieces of iron rods estimated at 2.6 Million Cedis belonging to Amofa Enterprises, at the Adenta Barrier in Accra.

Speaking to the GNA, Mr. Samuel Duodu, a store attendant said he woke up around 1.30 AM on Saturday to urinate and saw Sadiku forcing to open one of the gates where the iron rods had been kept. Mr Duodu said when he raised the alarm Sadiku took to his heels leaving behind a green pullover and a pair of slippers. In the morning, people in the vicinity identified the pullover and directed him to Sadiku’s house.

When the slippers and the pullover were shown to the parents they identified them as belonging to their son Sadiku, who also admitted being the owner and was handed over to the Police, who are conducting further investigations.
