The Bishop of the Kumasi Diocese of the Methodist Church, Rt. Rev. Bishop Christopher Nyarko Adam is urging all political parties, public and private sectors, parliament and Ghanaians to come on board to establish more employment opportunities, so that graduates from Tertiary institutions can be employed after their education.
This is what can help the rate of unemployment in Ghana to be reduced, he posited.
Speaking to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio, he cited that, he believes that unemployment remains a major challenge to our nation and the opportunity for graduates to work after school is not enough and if it continues to pile up, it is going to increase in social vices and affect the nation.
Rt. Rev. Bishop Christopher Nyarko Adam said it is worrying for a group like the unemployed graduates to be formed in this country since it does not speak well for the nation.
He noted the number of tertiary of institutions both private and public keeps increasing by the day with graduates churn out every year from these institutions yet no opportunities are available to absorb them hence the need to reverse the trend.
