Ultimate FM presents money to bedridden Amputee

It was a flooding moment of emotions when the Ultimate brunch team yesterday Wednesday made a donation of GHC1,200 to a physically challenged man, Kwaku Nketiah Quaicoo.

The Amputee, an ardent listener of Ultimate FM was almost thrown out of his home over GHC900 rent arrears.

Mr. Quaicoo who made a distress call into “my heart’s desire” segment on the Ultimate brunch on Monday explained his plight.

A visit to his residence at Appiedu, a suburb of Kumasi moved the Brunch team to raise funds from leading Ghanaian indigenous bank Unibank, and some benevolent listeners of Ultimate FM.

Mr. Quaicoo who could not bottle it all in; expressed immense gratitude to the team and donors such as Mrs. Jasmine Antwi, Mr. Kojo Marfo (broadcaster), Mr. Lary Anitor (Manager Vienna City), Mr. Alhaji Abu (Northern Securities Development) and Mr. Alfred Nana Yaw.

The team led by the Ultimate Brunch Host Naa Klordey Odonkor made the presentation on behalf of the station.

Naa Klordey Odonkor assured him that Ultimate FM will continue to solicit for more funds for him.

She appealed to corporate bodies, churches, individuals and institutions to emulate the gesture.
