UGCC Womens Fellowship Inaugurated

The Women’s Fellowship of the United Ghanaian Community Church (UGCC) in Philadelphia was inaugurated on Sunday, April 23, 2006 by the Executive Committee of the Ghanaian Presbyterian Women Fellowship Conference in North America.

In attendance were Ghanaian Presbyterian Women’s Fellowship groups from Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Woodbridge, VA, Ghanaian Presbyterian Church, Maryland, Ramseyer Presbyterian Church, Columbus, OH, Ghanaian Presbyterian Reformed Church, Brooklyn, NY, and the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Mission in Bronx, NY.

At this colorful celebration of women in Ghanaian traditional worship which saw the UGCC sanctuary filled to full capacity with extra chairs placed in all available spaces, the local executive committee of the UGCC Women’s Fellowship was also installed by Mrs. Tina Abban, the National President of the Ghanaian Presbyterian Women’s Fellowship Conference in North America.

The inaugural message was delivered by the Rev. Dr. Margaret Asabea Aboagye, Chaplain of the National Ghanaian Presbyterian Women’s Fellowship Conference in North America.
