UEW, Libyan university signed MOU

Winneba (C/R), May 26, GNA – The University of Education, Winneba and the Al Tahadi University of Libya, on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance teaching and learning in the two institutions.

Under the memorandum, each institution shall among others “encourage the exchange of academic and administrative staff for teaching, research and professional visits.”

Mr Ahmad Alhaj Hamad, Dean of Arts Education and leader of delegation and Dr Idries Omran Bensaad, signed for Al Tahadi University, whiles Professor Akwasi Asabere-Ameyaw, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba and Professor Francis Jopa, Director, Office of International Relations initialled for their University. The two universities would develop and implement a program for extra-curricular and short-term visits by students and academic staff of both institutions.

The program also involves the organization of conferences, workshops and research into any field of interest common to both institutions.

The institutions shall provide visiting staff with facilities equivalent to those given to members of the two institutions and also allow them appropriate access to their academic, professional and cultural services.
