UDS Reach World University Games Final After Dramatic Penalty Shootout Win

The University for Development Studies (UDS) from Ghana have booked their place in the final of the World University Games after a nerve-wracking 5-4 penalty shootout victory over Spain’s University of Granada.

The semi-final clash ended goalless in regulation time, with both sides creating chances but failing to find the back of the net. The tension carried into the shootout, where UDS held their nerve to edge past their Spanish counterparts in a dramatic finish.

The result marks a historic achievement for the Ghanaian side, who will now compete in the final for the first time.

UDS will now turn their attention to the ultimate challenge as they chase gold on the world stage.
