UCC to get twin lawn tennis courts

The Ashanti Foam Factory (Ashfoam) Limited on Wednesday donated a cheque for GH¢58,700.00 to be used to construct twin lawn tennis courts for the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Senior Club House.

The amount would be paid in four installments and the final amount would be paid on July 13.

Madam Hannie Salami, the Marketing Executive of Ashfoam who presented the cheque to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyeman, said the donation was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

Mr. Joe Ampem-Darko, Communications Manager of Ashfoam, said the company’s clients played a crucial role in the sustenance of the Company and that was why there was the need to give back to society.

He said Ashfoam had invested a lot into education as part of its corporate social responsibility and hoped to do more in future.

Prof. Opoku-Agyeman lauded public-private partnerships and said Ashfoam and the university had enjoyed relations over the years.**
