UCC alumni congratulate President Kufuor

Cape Coast, Jan 12, GNA – The University of Cape Coast Alumni Association has said it was hopeful that education will see more development under Positive Change Chapter 2 “to liberate most Ghanaians in this era of technological development”.

In a congratulatory message signed the National President of the association, Professor Dominic Kuupole, to President John Agyekum Kufuor on his re-election, the association said the President’s commitment to education was what compelled most Ghanaians to support the New Patriotic Party.

“It is the prayer of the UCC Alumni Association that the Almighty God will continue to direct your path to enable you serve your generation and those yet to come so that in the comity of nations, Ghana will not be found wanting”, the message said.

The message also congratulated all political parties and candidates for “playing according to the rules and also gallantly conceding defeat” and mentioned in particular the National Commission on Civic education, the security services, the media and all foreign donors for working hard to ensure successful elections.

It gave special “bravo” to the Electoral Commission for conducting free, fair and transparent elections.
