U.S. Embassy Wishes Ghanaian Muslims Eid Mubarak

The Embassy of the United States of America in Accra has sent greetings to Muslim communities in Ghana on the occasion of ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’ which marks the end of the one-month-long Ramadan fast.

A press statement from the Embassy signed by Zainab Mahama, Information Assistant, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said: “Ramadan has been a time for families and communities to share the happiness of coming together in intense devotion, reflection and service.

“The United States reaffirms her commitment to partner with Ghana for the mutual benefit of both countries.”

It added that as Ramadan comes to an end, the Mission sends its best wishes for a blessed holiday to Muslim communities across the country.

Meanwhile, the Office of the National Chief Imam has announced that this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebration falls on Monday, July 28, 2014, which the Ministry of the Interior has also declared as a public holiday.
