U.S-based Offinso Union presents computers to schools

Offinso (Ash), April 9, GNA – U.S-based Offinso Union, a group of citizens dedicated to the development of their hometown in Ashanti, has donated four set of computers and accessories worth over GH¢5,000 to the Dwamena Akenten Senior High School (SHS) at Offinso. The union also donated large qualities of used clothing worth over GH¢3,000 to the Offinso children’s home, an orphanage at Offinso. Mr. Kwame Baah a member of the union made the presentation at two separate functions at Offinso on Wednesday.

He said plans were far advanced to establish a community library complex, fitted with computers and modern equipment and materials to enhance Information Communication technology (ICT) usage among the youth.

Mr. Kwadwo Oduro Frimpong-Dwamena, headmaster of the school, who received the items on behalf on the two institutions, expressed his appreciation and called for more support to enhance teaching and learning in the schools.
