Twobodom installs Twafohene

Tuobodom (B/A), Aug. 7, GNA – A 46-year old internal auditor at the Wenchi Municipal Assembly, Mr. Anthony Kofi Nimoh, has been installed as Twafohene of Tuobodom under the stool name Nana Baffour Amo Kofi II. Nana Amo Kofi II, who succeeded his late Uncle Nana Kwabena Dare who died recently after a short illness, is also the Assembly Member for Tanoboase electoral area and chairman of Tuobodom Town council in Techiman municipality.

Swearing the oath of allegiance to Nana Barima Obeng Ameyaw, Tuobodomhene, Nana Amo Kofi II pledged to work hard to unite the people of the area and to promote development, more especially education. Nana Amo Kofi mentioned some of his priorities as the construction of a palace for Twafo royal family and that 37 million cedis had so far been spent on the project.

Nana Barima Obeng Ameyaw asked the new chief to live above reproach and lead an exemplary life worthy of emulation and advised him to show respect to his elders to ensure harmony in the family. He urged the elders to support the new chief to enable him to contribute towards the development of the area.
